Coming in fall 2008...
HEART OF A HOOFBEAT

Vancouver Zoo to produce a guide book for visitors. The result was “Zoofolk”, a fully illustrated handbook that profiled every animal species and its conservation status on exhibit at the Zoo. In 1999 the book won the Outstanding Achievement Award presented by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Coming in fall 2008 is HEART OF A HOOFBEAT, an illustrated non-fiction book that explores the natural behaviour of domestic horses and their close connections to their wild origins. The book explores both our historic relationship with horses and our growing understanding of wild horses as grazers capable of enhancing ecosystems and restoring biodiversity. Release: September 2008

Work in progress includes the children’s non-fiction, illustrated book SOCKS AND FRIENDS, the illustrated companion book to HEART OF A HOOFBEAT. This is the story of horses told through the eyes of “Socks” a young Thoroughbred gelding. The book is ideal for young readers 6-10 years of age. Release: TBA
